Wednesday, 13th, we left for a trip southwards. We visited the town of Ortona with its churches, especially S. Tommaso, and the War Museum related to the second World War, since in this town there was a nightmarish battle because it lied on one of the front lines.
After Ortona we went to la Costa dei Trabocchi on the sea. Trabocchi are a kind of piles built quite close to the seashore and they were used and built by fishermen in the past.
Our tour went on with the visit of the Abbey of S. Giovanni in Venere in Fossacesia, a stunning church with a monastery located on top of a hill, which dates back to the XII century. After visiting the church and admiring the breathtaking view of the gulf of Venus, we stopped there for lunch.

In the afternoon, our last one before Alizée's departure (sob, sob), we went to buy some souvenirs and we got ready for the big pizza farewell party alltogether. I felt very happy and also a bit proud in seeing how in a few days we managed to create such a close group! Our last night together finished at the disco where we danced a lot and had a great time.
Friday morning, 15th it was time to say goodbye.... My mum drove us to the coach station where Alizée and the others took the bus back home. Before the coach left, we cried a lot and were desperate because we didn't want to separate. I was sure I had missed her so much!
By the way, I have already made arrangements with my new French friend and we are gong to be together this summer: I'm flying to France and she is coming back here! I'm dying to see her once again and to spend some time together!
This experience was fantastic, gorgeous, amazing! I did love being with foreign people, learning a lot from them, sharing our different experiences and finding a common ground to build new friendships!
THANKS, EVERYBODY!!! Love,
